We are actively recruiting for the upcoming 2021 season that will allow this 2-time Drum Corps Associates (DCA) Class ‘A’ World Champion and first time DCA Open Class Finalist to become your drum corps family like we have for hundreds of others during the history of Tradition.

We’re searching for talented performers and dedicated student leaders in all sections to build the new edition of the 'Tradition’. If you know of a student who might fit the bill for the Tradition, please have them join us at our next rehearsal.

Do you love music, competition, and travel? We still have a few positions available and would love to have you join us. It’s not too late to register to attend auditions! So if you are looking for something to do this winter, and on weekends this summer, we hope to see you!

Please arrive early for check in at 8:30am because you don't want to miss out on rehearsal starting promptly at 9:00 a.m.! There is a mandatory $40 camp registration fee for all participants of the Open House.* Prepay using the pay tuition link on this page.

If you would like to audition, you will need to complete the registration form. Once you have registered, you will receive a password to access the Audition Materials page. (Please retain this password for future reference) You will then be able to download all the necessary exercises for auditions.

Auditions are open to all skill levels ages 14 and older. If you are under 18 or still in high school, parent/teacher/coach consent is required to join Tradition.

Tuition and fees

2021 Tuition: $800.00 minus registration fee $40.00 (760.00) Tuition must be paid-in-full NLT June 1st 2021. $50.00 discount if tuition is paid-in-full by March 1st 2021 ($710.00). If also a returning member or family member and paid by March 1st 2021 ($660.00).
Registration Fee: $40.00 will be deducted from Tuition $800.00 ($760.00)
Tradition Corps Jacket: $80.00 (Optional)

Note: Tuition and fees are non-refundable, which includes being released from the corps for disciplinary or medical reasons.

Tuition Incentive: Returning member or family member will receive a $50.00 discount. (Tuition $800.00 minus registration fee $760.00 minus returning member or family member incentive $710.00) If paid by March 1st 2021 ($660.00)

To be considered for membership in Tradition, you must not only participate in the audition process, but remain up-to-date financially with the drum corps. Member's tuition and fees account for only a small percentage of the total cost needed to operate the corps.

If you successfully audition you will be offered a member contract, which is an agreement between yourself and the ensemble regarding your commitments and obligations to the group.

If you are under 18, we require parent approval. If you are in high school, we require Director/Coach approval.

Beyond that, you should expect a summer of hard work and great fun. We pride ourselves on the dedication to excellence and family atmosphere of our corps, and expect that the memories, friends, and education you acquire will exceed any expectations.

Tuition for the 2021 season is $800 and there is a $40 camp fee required at each rehearsal. The camp fee will be deducted from your tuition. The tuition will cover bus travel, equipment, uniforms, and some meals on trips. Returning members will receive a $50 discount on dues. Family members will also receive a $50 discount.

Outside of your tuition, you will be responsible for travel to and from rehearsals, meals at rehearsals, some meals on trips, a dot book, and a water cooler.

Other than that, you may want to purchase a corps member jacket, corps shirts/souvenirs, or other apparel.

We meet select weekends through the winter, and meet almost every weekend during competition season, May through August.

Attendance to all rehearsals and performances is considered mandatory. We do make exceptions on a case by case basis for school, WGI, and some other conflicts, but you are expected to make every effort to be present for as much of the rehearsal as possible.

Any conflicts must be approved by your caption head and the director no later than one week prior to the conflict date.
